Position Summary:
The Director of Planning and Development (P&D) is responsible for establishing, implementing and maintaining a consortium-wide planning and development department that maximizes SEARHC opportunities to successfully obtain new funds which further the mission of the organization. The position provides support and leadership to departmental, division, and consortium-wide planning, strategic, and change management initiatives.  The Director initiates, pursues, and coordinates new strategies to increase SEARHCs funding base (for example: a creation of foundation or endowments). The Director of P&D supervises the Consortiums biostatistician who is responsible for producing regular analytical reports for senior management and quantitative data sets for funding proposals. The Director of P&D is a member of the Executive Management Team (EMT). 
 
Baseline Qualification Requirements:                                                                                      
Masters degree in communication, journalism, public health management, or related field or a Bachelors Degree in a relevant field with five or more years demonstrated grant/program development experience.
Three years of grant writing and/or fund development experience with a proven track record in writing successful grant proposals as demonstrated by 5-10 funded proposals including at least 5 funded proposals over $100,000 each.
If applicant has a bachelors degree five or more years demonstrated grant/fund development experience with a proven track record in writing successful grant proposals as demonstrated by 5-10 funded proposals including at least 5 funded proposals over $100,000 each.
